The young mage crossed her arms, a bored look upon her face. At this point, it was pretty much expected someone would barge into her house while she was in the middle of studies and blastia research, so it was starting to not even faze her.
“Make it quick, unless y’wanna be blasted out of my house.” she snapped, hardly in the mood for this kinda thing.
Ken really didn’t mean to barge in per say but he need to gather info about the man he is hunting down. He blinks and looks at her not really phased by her threat.
“I’m looking for someone who goes by the name Professor M. Long blonde hair, slicked back. Kind looks like a mad scientist. Ever seen or heard about him?”
With the new cat ears and tail, thanks to a stupid prankster passerby, the mage attempted to ignore the new feline parts as she answered his question.
“Nope, never heard of ‘em. I don’t do a lot of research with others; it’s impractical. Besides, a lot of people around here are pretty mad, in a sense.” she shrugged, crossing her arms.
He saw her feline parts and in all honesty he thought it was really cute. He wanted to touch them and pet them and if they were real then this would make his week so much worth the trouble he’s had to go through.
“Yes I got that sort of feeling when I came here however his experiments are much more foul… It’s difficult to explain so How about I show you? You seem like the type of person who is smart enough to understand it and hasn’t lost their humanity. Hit me with the most powerful fire ball you can dish out. Hold nothing back.”
He was making a huge gamble but by all the books around him, she seems to be more of a righteous mad scientist so he’s willing to do this.
That…was actually a very interesting idea. Usually she just fireball’d when she wanted to; never had someone asked for it. Still, she saw no point in doing so. Not right now, anyway.
“Why would I wanna do that? Look, I don’t wanna be accused of murder or anything. Last thing I wanna do is collect your ashes in a bin.” she said, seeming quite confident in her own abilities. Rita gave a small grumble, still pondering the possibility of doing so anyway.
It seemed that making her useful to him was a bit of a back fire. He smiles at her thinking that she would be the type to be easily provoked. He figured that if she saw what he could do then she would be interested enough to help him finding Professor M.
“Oh? And here I thought you would skillful enough to impress me since you did seem the type who is very skilled in magic and in research but It seems I was wrong. If you can’t do a simple fire ball then I guess you could never harm me let alone burn me to ashes.”
“You wanna die so bad, kid? Alright fine, but don’t come cryin’ to me when I burn the skin off your ass.” she said, a rather sinister look to her stare. If there was one thing she hated, it was being called weak.

No sooner had she finished speaking, when a red glyph surrounded her. The sash whipped around, as aer began to accumulate.
“O’ merciless confilgaration, burn the very souls of my enemies…” she began, as a massive orb loomed over the male. A small smirk grew on her face, prepared to see the shock and pain that the man would have. “…Crimson Flare!”
A pillar of fire erupted from the orb, crashing down upon him. It was so intense that Rita had to shield herself slightly from the heat. As the spell ended, smoke covered the area. Rita shrugged, figuring he was probably crippled, or reduced to soot.

Rita blinked, suddenly grumbling angrily. Her one ear twitched a bit, her tail swaying slightly. “I-Idiot…”

(( This will just be for two days ))
The slight hesitation hardly went unnoticed by the keen researcher. Her eyes widened slightly in slight concern, her head tilting a bit. “Thanks. Is everything okay with you, Shinji?” she asked. She had been gone for a while, so it wasn’t impossible that something could have happened in her absence.
The chef mulled over what had transpired in the young mage’s absence, realization that little had, other then the growing ache to see her again. He stepped closer to pull Rita into a welcoming embrace, nothing tight or painful, just indicating that she had been well missed. “Everything’s fine now, can’t a guy miss someone without there being something wrong?”
The hugs always seemed to fluster the girl, no matter what. Rita thought for sure she’d have gotten used to it by now, but that didn’t seem to be the case. Regardless, the mage returned the hug, blinking once or twice.

“O-Of course not! You just seemed down is all.” she huffed, trying to put on a brave front of sorts.
hierophantchef replied to your post: “It’s been awhile, you. How’s your research been…
“I’ve been good…” He hesitated but readily returned her smile. “I’ve missed you, ya know?”

The mage’s day was instantly brightened by the sight of the chef. She smiled, something rarely seen from the girl by most. “It’s going pretty well. I’m getting close to a breakthrough, but I need a break. How’ve you been?”

The young mage crossed her arms, a bored look upon her face. At this point, it was pretty much expected someone would barge into her house while she was in the middle of studies and blastia research, so it was starting to not even faze her.

The mage wandered about, hands behind her back as she walked. It had been a long time since she stepped from her hut, what with her research taking up almost every bit of her time.

“Wonder if anyone’s around…” she mumbled casually, looking around.

//Casually pretends I didn’t actually disappear of the face of the earth.
“I wonder if anyone is even around here anymore.”
“Oh? Who have we here? I don’t precisely recall meeting before, so I shall be first to say ‘hello’. My name is Henry” The boy said with a bow.
“Uh, right…hi.” Rita mumbled, looking to the side in a bored manner. “Name’s Rita. Rita Mordio. No, I guess we haven’t met before.” she shrugged, placing a hand on her hip.
“And so what brings you to these parts, if I may ask? Ms. Mordio?” Henry asked, straightening his back. “To further the question, is there anything I can help you with?”

Rita looked around, blinking a few times. “Well, to answer both questions in one go, I don’t really know where I am. Wanna fill me in?” she asked, taking in her surroundings.
